Privacy at
Typefield.
Your font library and creative work stay on your Mac. This page explains what happens when you use the app and when you send feedback on the website.
Your work stays on your Mac.
Typefield does not require an account and does not upload your fonts, preview text, library, or projects. The Mac app has no advertising, analytics, or tracking. A report reaches us only when you choose to send it through the website form.
The Mac app.
Typefield keeps its working data on your Mac.
What is saved locally
Collections, tags, notes, settings, projects, and folder bookmarks are stored on your Mac. You grant access to watched folders through the macOS folder picker. Exports are saved where you choose.
What the app does not send
Typefield does not upload your font files, preview text, or library to Typefield. It does not require a Typefield account to use the public beta.
Optional Google Fonts browsing
If you choose to preview or download a Google font in the app, Typefield requests that font from Google's public GitHub repository. GitHub may receive standard connection information for that request. Your own font files and projects are not included.
This website.
The public site is served through Cloudflare.
When you visit
Cloudflare handles requests needed to deliver the site and may process normal connection information, such as your IP address and the pages requested. The website does not need a Typefield account. Site fonts are served from this website.
When you send a report
The feedback form stores the category, subject, description, and any steps to reproduce that you submit. It stores an email address only if you enter one. Reports are stored in a private database. There is no automatic deletion schedule for beta reports. An email may be used to reply.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for abuse. The form does not accept file uploads. Please do not include private fonts, font files, passwords, or other sensitive information in a report.
Questions or removal requests
Use the feedback form to ask about a report or request its removal. Include its subject and approximate submission date so we can try to find it, along with an email address if you would like a reply.
Questions about privacy?
Use the same first-party form to reach the Typefield beta team.
Send a question.
Choose General feedback, describe your privacy question, and include your email if you would like a reply. Please do not send sensitive files or information in the form.
